The art of eating can help us build a better digestion because we will enjoy our food more

The art of eating is all about learning to enjoy our food. In today’s society many of us live in a very fast passed lifestyle, we rush to work and we rush home, we eat fast food and we ride in fast vehicles.

All of these things create a faster passed lifestyle but we do not have to always be fast, it is good to be fast in many situations but many times our fast passed lifestyle can cause us bodily problems that can last for years.

One of these problems is eating too fast, we eat too fast because we need to be on-time somewhere, or we are late, or we want to get it over with, there are so many resigns to use but when we eat fast we are damaging our digestion.

The art of eating is all about eating slowly and enjoying our food, when we eat slowly and enjoy every bite we take, this triggers certain signals the brain sends to help our digestion absorb more nurturance. When we enjoy our food, our body is more at ease and can work on absorbing and utilizing more of our food than if we were in a stressful state and eating.

It is an art, and it will take practice to learn but once you learn it you will enjoy your food so much more. To start all you need to do is take 15 to 20 minutes to eat your meal enjoying every bite, 30 to 45 minutes is better but if you are on a tight schedule you can start out with 15 to 20 minutes.

With every bite you take try to imagine the taste in your mind, for example; let’s say you are eating a chocolate ice cream sandwich. When you take your first bite, taste the chocolate in your mouth and picture it in your mind, the brown yummy flavors, sweet and bitter, then you taste some vanilla ice cream along with the chocolate and you also taste the sweet sandwich bread.

All of these wonderful tastes are running through your mind, as you taste them with your tongue. This is how each and every meal should be. If we take the time to enjoy our meals then we help our digestion to work better.

A better working digestion means faster weight loss, better immune system and better overall health. The art of eating is easy to do, we can all taste and we can all imagine.
