I love swimming for exercise, it is one of my favorite activities to do. I am definitely a water person I love swimming in pools, in the ocean, in lakes and ponds and I also love hot tubs. If I were to pick an exercise that I truly love to do, swimming would be it.

This exercise can be done anywhere there is a pool. I once lived in Oregon State and right by my house about fifteen minutes away was an Olympic sized swimming pool, which was free to the public. That is the key, to pick something you absolutely love to do, then you can do it every single day and lose weight, get fit and stay thin all the time. The exercise you pick can be anything as long as you enjoy doing it.

Swimming for exercise is a great way to lose weight and stay fit, and if you love to swim like I do then this is a fantastic exercise. Swimming is a great way to lose weight and burn calories, stay fit and build or tone muscles.

It is hard to know when you are burning calories from reaching a sweat because when you are swimming your body is covered in water, all your sweat is washed away, so the best way to know if you are burning calories from swimming is feeling your heart rate.

Swimming helps us build or tone the muscles in our bodies, it is a great muscle toner, because of all the arm and leg movements associated with swimming, it builds a better immune system, because of all the movement, our bodies get more oxygen into the bloodstream and the result is a better immune system.

We lose weight by burning calories as we swim and we stay fit because of all the bodily stretching we do during swimming. Plus it is easier to work hard in the water because the water helps to take off some of our weight which we would have to carry around if we were on solid ground doing exercise.

This is not to say that other exercises are not as good at lose weight, they are. Swimming for exercise is just one type of exercise which has that benefit to it. Each and every exercise we do has their own benefits they give us when we perform them.

For example: Running, biking, jogging, all have the benefit of building great looking calves and legs and butts and increased lung capacity, dancing benefits all the limbs at the same time, lifting weights builds muscles much faster than all the other exercises, and all exercises increase our health and wellbeing.

Most importantly, all exercises help us lose weight fast. That is the key ingredient to reaching our goal, we want to lose weight fast and picking an exercise which you love to do is the best way to start losing weight.
