High fiber diets are a great way to help us lose weight and keep a good digestive system

High fiber diets

High fiber diets are great for helping us increase our digestive function, they keep us having regular bowl movements, they help our immune system stay strong and help us lose weight or balance our weight.

High fiber foods also do a great job at cleansing our intestines of waste material that needs to go. The fiber in food helps to scrape the walls of our intestines to cleans them, without fiber in our foods our intestines would be in a bad shape.

High fiber diets are any type of diet you chose only with the added exception that you eat as many high fiber foods in your diet. It is a good Idea to start out slow when eating high fiber foods because you can experience gas and other stomach problems if you take on too much at one time.

We need to get our bodies used to eating high quality foods which are rich in fibers gradually, because they are already week from eating too much junk food. When they are accustom to eating high quality foods then we can increase the amount of fiber rich foods we eat in our daily diet.

There are two types of fiber, soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber helps to prolong our digestion; it binds with fatty acids in our digestion and can also regulate blood sugar levels. Insoluble fiber helps our colons remove toxins, helps to move waste along and balance intestine acidity.

Some foods which have soluble fibers in them are psyllium husks, flaxseeds, oats or oat bran, beans and fruits like oranges and apples and some vegetables such as carrots. This is just a small list, to get a full list you can click here.

Some foods which have insoluble fibers in them are vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, green beans and some root vegetables like, beets and parsnips. Whole wheat or bran is also rich in insoluble fibers.

High fiber diets help us lose weight in several ways. They help us lose weight by dispelling toxins in our bodies, by taking away bad fasts, by helping to prolong our digestion so we absorb more and help to increase our immune system.
