Gmo foods or genetically modified foods are no good for our health.

GMO foods stand for genetically modified food, this means the food has been genetically altered in some way or other. A scientist does this to make the plant more resistant to disease for better growing.

Genetically modified food is designed to fight nature. When a scientist starts the genetically modifying process, he takes a seed and injects different types of chemicals into it on a genetic level so when it starts to grow, the plant will be immune to different kinds of insects, bugs and weeds.

This does not sound too bad, but the other half of the story goes like this. When the genetically modified foods mature into whatever they were, a tomato, potato, corn, bean ect… then they are picked and shipped off to the supermarket. We go to the supermarket, buy our gmo fruits and vegetables, and eat them, consuming all the pesticides and poisons, which were genetically implanted into them to help them grow better.

We unconsciously start to poison our bodies by eating all the genetically modified food. That is why eating organic food is so important; we need a healthy body to achieve any of our goals. Continually poisoning ourselves by eating gmo foods will ultimately destroy everything we have been working towards.

Losing weight naturally only works when we take care of our bodies and this means eating high quality food. Gmo foods are some of the lowest quality foods we can eat because they contain all kinds of harmful chemicals.

Another high risk when eating genetically modified food is that it has many bad affects on children, especially if they are just born. Children have a high growth rate and if a child grows up by eating gmo foods they will likely have damaged immune and digestive systems, smaller brains and livers and much more.

Here is a list of the most contaminated fruits and vegetables that are on the market today. The resign why these fruits and vegetables are the most contaminated is because they absorb the most pesticides and chemicals when they are grown, here are just a few.

Peaches, Apples, Bell peppers, Cherries, Grapes, Apricots, Lemons, Blueberries and Bananas, all these fruits and vegetables are harmful to eat if they were grown as gmo foods. One way to tell if the food has been grown conventionally, grown genetically or grown organically is by reading the PLU codes, which are placed on the little labels of all supermarket fruits and vegetables.

Conventionally grown foods always have four numbers like this, (4011) this is a banana. Organically grown foods always have five numbers and are, prefaced by the number nine, (94011) and genetically modified foods always have five numbers and are prefaced by the number eight, (84011).

Of course the easiest way to buy food that is organic would be to go to a local farmer’s market or health food store. These stores sell nothing but organically grown produce, so there is no need to check if the vegetables and fruits you buy there are organic or not.
