Chewing food can help us lose weight and build a better digestion

Chewing food is very important for us to do on a daily basis. I know that everyone thinks they chew their food but not everyone does. Chewing your food is a lot harder than you might think; it involves many mouth muscles, much saliva and enjoyment of the flavors.

When we chew our food properly, we lose weight or balance our weight, gain muscle and build a better digestion. Many times we will chew our food just enough to swallow it down and take another bite. This is the wrong way to eat, it is more like swallowing than eating and if we swallow our food more that chew it then we hardly get any of our foods nurturance and we need to eat more.

The great thing about chewing food is that when we properly chew we do not have to eat as much to feel satisfied. Chewing actually acts like a natural appetite suppressant because it sends signals to our stomach and brain that we have enough food in us for energy.

When chewing food more you might find that you will have half your plate left when you are full. This is a common accordance when we chew our food properly; we get full and satisfied quicker and cannot eat as much as we normally would. This helps with losing weight as well because we do not overeat.

Digestion starts in the mouth. When we chew our food, we break it into tiny parts so that our stomachs can break down the food further. Chewing is one of the best ways to help our digestion in its process, because when we chew our food well, our saliva starts to digests our food first in our mouths before it even reaches our stomachs.

This process is the most important in helping our digestion to assimilate our food. The saliva glands are the first to act on digesting what we eat. When we chew our food, our saliva mixes with it and starts a chemical digestion of the food particles.

Our saliva stimulates the exocrine glands in the mouth to release digestive enzymes into the food that start a chemical breakdown of it, particularly carbohydrates, so our stomachs will not work so hard. After the food enters our stomachs, our food gets further broken down through a process of heuristic churning and is then mixed with a digestive fluid that is made up of hydrochloric acid and other digestive enzymes. This digestive fluid helps to further breakdown proteins.

As you can see by chewing our food properly we get a better digestion, better immune system and we also lose weight at the same time by not overeating. When we chew our food it is best to chew it until it becomes liquid in our mouths.

I know it might sound a little strange, but this simple little step will drastically improve anyone’s digestion and help them digest there food much better, if you do not want to chew your food until it is liquid, than chewing for one minute or count 50 to 60 chews after every bite will help.

One other point about chewing food that is very important to talk about is enjoyment. When we chew our food we need to enjoy as much as possible the flavor and texture and taste of our food, this helps in many ways.

First by enjoying our food to its fullest helps us become easily satisfied. The enjoyment acts like a type of food for our brains and subtle body. Tasting our foods texture and taste and enjoying it helps prepare our digestion for what it is about to receive, this helps us to digest everything better.

Chewing is essential for us to lose weight, build a better body, become healthier and increase our immune system to fight disease.
